This summer the world’s biggest sporting event comes to London. Hosting the Olympic and Paralympic Games has given the city an opportunity to kick-start the economic and social regeneration in some of the most deprived parts of the UK.
Inspired by the Games, Business in the Community has created arc: building better business, its flagship social enterprise programme launched in September 2011. In partnership with Social Enterprise UK and led by Founding Partners BP and Deloitte, and working alongside Associate Partners InterContinental Hotel Group, Freshfields and CBS Outdoor, arc is using the excitement of the Games to connect business and social enterprises to create 1000 jobs by 2015 in the 6 Olympic host boroughs.
We are delighted to have been accepted onto the arc programme, benefitting from access to specialist support and training, mentoring and business opportunities. We are also one of a family of social enterprises that will be part of an outdoor media campaign supported by CBS Outdoor that will see our beautiful bottles feature on 16 sheet posters and in Docklands Light Railway carriages for the duration of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Already a fast-growing brand, our involvement with arc will allow us to continue to do good business with good people, proudly support UK businesses and reach new customers wishing to tap into organisations that have a positive impact on people and the planet.
